We went to a stockman show (at the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame).
It was about Lachlan (Cosser) who rode horses. He had a whip and he could crack it really loud.
He showed us how to round up sheep with his dogs.
Rémi & Zeke were in the show.
They broke the table
They chased pigs but didn't catch them.
Luckily Rosie & Kelpie the dogs came out to help...and a little horse came out to help too.
It was really funny watching Rémi & Zeke running all over the place trying to catch the pigs.
Lachlan also rode a giant bull.

All the kids bought mini whips after the show and after an hour of practice all the boys can crack them with a wild crack. It scared the pants off a couple of grey nomads in the camp ground BBQ area!
<Zeke>
My whip is blue & black & its really fun to crack it.

On the way from Longreach to Rubyvale we saw real stockmen riding with their cattle.
<Mum>
They set up temporary stock yards near the highway and then load the cattle into road trains like the ones below.
Almost all of the traffic on the highway out here is cattle road trains or caravans. Most of the road trains have 3 trailers and can be up to 53 m long.
