A Ghostly Night!

We spent a couple of nights at a ghost town near Broken Hill. The ghost town was named Silverton but there wasn't really any ghosts.  It is just called a ghost town because no-one lives there anymore.  It used to be a mining town, where they mined silver and lead a long time ago, in 1883.

When we were riding around the ghost town, we saw a donkey.  It wasn't even tied up.  It just lives there and wanders around where he wants.



We went inside the old school too. 

They had blackboards instead of whiteboards!

In the town of Broken Hill, we saw the worlds largest canvas painting.  It was 12m high and 100m long!

We also went to a milk bar from the olden-days and had a milkshake.  I had a custard flavour milkshake!

 

 

At the top of the hill in Broken Hill there is the 'Big Park Bench'.  We all had a seat looking over the town.
