<Kian>
We
drove through the rainforest on very steep tracks and saw lots of plants
As well as normal rainforest plants, we saw two very dangerous plants:
1)
Australian
stinging tree – it kills all your nerve endings if you touch it and feels
similar to a jellyfish sting.
2)
Hairy
Mary (below)– has very sharp thorns and is one of the longest bamboo type vines in the
Australian rainforest (it is similar to a plant called wait-a-while).
I also
saw a spider as big as my hand!
We saw
some arboreal termite nests – arboreal means in the trees.
After our rainforest drive,
we just drove into a river in the DUKW.
The boat engine was then turned on.
