Cairns...Kuranda Skyrail

<Asha>
We were in Cairns and we went up the mountain to Kuranda to go on the Skyrail Cable Car.
I was very excited and it went very fast at the start and at the stations.
We sat in a big bubble car with lots of windows and it flew from the station.

At the first station (Barron Falls) it was like a aquarium with all bugs of the rainforest inside the glass.

We went for a long walk to see a waterfall.

We went in the bubble car again
and at the next station we went for a walk in a forest that Dad said was a rainforest, but it wasn’t even raining!

There were really big trees.

<Kian>
This is a Kauri Pine, the tallest tree in Queensland.  It grows to 50m tall and its leaves poke out above the forest canopy (it is called and emergent tree).  It grows this way so that the leaves, which are only right at the top, get the sun on them.

<Asha>
and we saw chickens

At the towers the bubble car went bumpity bumpity.
We could see Cairns.

 At the bottom we saw Mum in the car waiting to pick us up.
