Cairns...Fishing Charter

Zeke, Mum & I went on a fishing charter in Cairns estuary.

This is the little boat we went on.  A bit bigger than the one above.

 

 

The boat below was in the harbour.  It is a Super-Yacht and is owned by Paul Allen (Co-founder of Microsoft with Bill Gates).
It is 126m long and is worth $200M.  It has 2 helicopters on board.

 

 

 

It towered above us as we went past in the little boat!

First we had to get some live bait.  We used a live bait net. 

Then we went up the estuary to start fishing.

Mum caught a Silver Jewfish.  Nice size but too small to keep.

Then Zeke caught one too.

Then I caught a Stripey, all still too small.

Yeah! Mum caught this huge Fingermark (Golden Bream).  2kg - dinner!

It was delicious and a fun day fishing.
